What do I get when I book you?

Will we get you as the DJ or someone else?
Me! I am not a multi-op, you will have made all your arrangements with me and it will be me who turns up and plays at your event, so no chance of someone turning up with no idea of your wishes or requirements.
What type of music will you play?
This very much depends on the type of function I am booked to play at and you. For Weddings and my Mobile DJ work, generally I play a varied selection of music but every function is different and I try to play to the audience on the night. I am more than happy however to work with you to make sure that the playlist is to your liking. To achieve this I like to have an idea of what type of music you would like to be played. Also I like to ask if you have any specific songs that are ‘must plays’ because they are personal favourites etc (a list of around 15-20 seems to work best) and at the same time, any songs that are ‘must not plays’. It is after all your event and I am more than happy to do all I can to make it unique and special for you.
How far in advance should we book?
I can’t emphasise how important it is to try and book well in advance. I therefore recommend you make a booking as soon as your function is confirmed to avoid disappointment (I currently have a number of bookings over 3 years in advance of their date!)
Will you take requests?
Yes, I am more than happy to work with you in advance to make sure the playlist is to your liking by getting an idea of the music you would like to be played on the night and any specific requests that you may have (a list of around 15-20 seems to work best). I am also happy to take requests on the night and will try to include these in the playlist if / when suitable.
Can we meet before hand?
Certainly! For a Wedding in particular I absolutely encourage this, as it is invaluable to both parties.
Are you insured?
Yes, I hold £10 Million Public Liability Insurance (details can be provided on request)
Do you provide a Contract?
Always, which will basically confirm what we have already agreed along with the obvious. A specimen can be provided on request before hand.
How early will you arrive to set up?
For most functions I require 90 minutes to set up. This enables me to get loaded in set up and sound checked in good time so that everything is ready for the arrival of your guests well before the designated start time. If required, I am also more than happy to arrive earlier in the day to set-up (at a small extra charge).
How will you be dressed?
I always wear a smart black company branded Polo or T-Shirt and trousers so that I am easily distinguishable from your guests.
Why should I hire you when I can use my Spotify playlist or my mate John who will do it for £50?
A good question! Nowadays it's perfectly feasible to plug your phone or laptop into a sound system and provide the music of your choice via a pre-prepared Spotify playlist or the equivilent. This may provide you and your guests with an evening of great entertainment. Unfortunately, in reality this can either be too rigid since all the tracks are pre-programmed or subject to all and sundry flicking through ten seconds of every track to find their favourite song. It’s so much easier to let me structure the music so that the evening builds and flows smoothly and also fit in guests’ requests where they are most suitable.
I have invested over £10,000 in the very latest state of the art equipment (all regularly PAT tested and insured for safety) and have years of experience in DJ’ing to give you a professional reliable service for your important event. Would you trust John to do this at the standard you require for £50???
How much do you charge?
All bookings are different so I don’t have a fixed pricing system. I am dedicated to offering what I believe to be a first class service for the best value you can find and will always go the extra mile to make sure you are completely happy.
So, you have given me a brilliant quote for my event and I want to book you. What happens now?
Once you appoint me I will confirm everything straight away via email and provide you with a written booking confirmation contract basically outlining what we will have already agreed along with the obvious. I will then require you to pay a 25% deposit within 14 days and we can go on from there to discuss the finer details of your event to make sure the day is unique to you and exactly to your requirements.
I will keep in touch with you between you booking me and the event itself to make sure everything is planned and prepared in good time. Finally, I will again contact you around a week before the event itself just to make sure all is well and that there have been no last minute changes in plans that I need to be aware of. I will also always be available at any time once you have booked me should you have any queries whatsoever. I will be only too happy to help!
How can we pay?
I require a 25% deposit within 14 days of you appointing me via bank transfer or cheque. The balance of payment should then be paid no later than 7 days before the date of the event via the same method.
